Daphne Arnold’s Short Bio

 

Daphne Arnold, MSW, LICSW, PIP, earned her AS in General Studies from Jefferson State Community College, BSW from The University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2007, and MSW from The University of Alabama in 2010. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Social Work Degree at The University of Alabama.  Her previous experience includes serving as Health Coordinator for The UAB Early Head Start Program and as a Psychiatric Social Worker for UAB’s Center for Psychiatric Medicine.  Ms. Arnold is currently in her seventh year of employment as a Medical Social Worker at UAB Civitan-Sparks Clinics, which provides diagnostic testing for children and adolescents.  Her specified interests include increasing leadership for cultural diversity and cultural and linguistic competence in networks supporting individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and championing for the rights of individuals with mental illness.
