PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Consumer Housing Resource Specialist, Money Follows the Person Project

  • Responsible for locating housing for individuals with disabilities and the aging wishing to transition from institutions to independent living arrangements in the community 
  • Work with service agencies to increase consumer awareness of the MFP project 
  • Gather housing information throughout the region for a housing database allowing agencies and consumer access to existing affordable and accessible housing. 
  • Provide support to the project director 
  • Develop brochures and fact sheets to distribute to stakeholders throughout the state 
  • Complete reports on a monthly basis 
  • Develop MFP presentations for consumers and agencies 

 

TRAINING/SUPERVISING

  • Trained and supervised 6 associates 
  • Prepared weekly schedule for office personnel 
  • Manage staff by encouraging pride in performance, supporting individual career development, and training in problem solving and teamwork 
  • Trained new employees in developing and maintaining good customer relations, and how to effectively resolve customer service problems
