Research: My professional career has focused on the equitable provision of psychological, educational, and social services for people with disabilities. My current research focuses on the psychological and social effects of disaster on individuals with disabilities.
Education: Interdisciplinary Training Coordinator at the Center on Disability and Development. Teach graduate courses in disability studies and qualitative research. Chair and co-chair of over 20 graduate committees. Co-director of Master's training grant that prepared over 125 educators in inclusionary practices in special education.
Service: Vice-President of National Training Directors Committee, AUCD. Coordinator of Learning Sciences Program. Department of Educational Psychology Ombudsperson.Editorial Board Member for Review of Disability Studies and Journal of International Special Needs Education. Faculty Advisor to Aggie Guide Dogs and Service Dogs.
