Vita/Bio

Linda joined the Institute in 2003 bringing with her over 20 years of experience in providing direction and support to people with developmental and psychiatric disabilities in the community and has served as Interim Director twice. Working for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Departments of Mental Health and Developmental Services and later with non-profit organizations, Linda has provided leadership and vision in the development of homes and employment opportunities for people with disabilities. She is a creative thinker, disciplined analyst, and forward-moving manager who can mobilize resources, mediate conflicting interests and achieve strategic visions of organizations and the constituencies they serve. 

EXPERIENCE

INTERIM DIRECTOR

University of New Hampshire/Institute on Disability 1/07 to present

o Oversight for administration, finance and program implementation

o Coordinate implementation of the Strategic Plan with Operation Teams

o Identify and develop new sources of revenue to maintain financial stability

o Maintain relationships with stakeholders including UNH, State agencies, and other individuals and organizations

 

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR/Project Coordinator

University of New Hamphire 12/03-12/06

o Coordination of two federal grants including monitoring

program goals and objectives.

o Participation in program, financial, policy and evaluation processes.

o Research and development of reports, articles, and other documents.

o Consultation with consumers, state and non-profit agencies and other stakeholder to ensure coordination and collaboration in grant implementation.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Cooperative for Human Services, 1997-2000

o Designed, launched, and achieved successful financial turnaround of agency; moved history of quarterly deficits to consistent surpluses within 8 months of joining agency.

o Managed $6 million budget while overseeing all aspects of providing

residential and support services to 600+ individuals with developmental disabilities.

o Coordinated and led presentations before Board of Directors
