Vita/Bio

Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Assumption College with over 25 years' experience in the field of community rehabilitation and employment of people with disabilities. For the past 19 years, provided disability employment related training, information development and dissemination, technical assistance in RI and nationally. Coordinator and primary trainer for Supporting Meaningful Employment an ACRE certified curriculum and a lead trainer and advisory board member for RI's Mental Health Supported Employment Professional Certification curriculum. Coordinated employment related system change grants as well as pilot initiatives, most recently EnVision Work: increasing employment of Youth with Vision Impairment. Extensive survey development, data collection and reporting experience; most recent publications include 2012 DD Employment and Day Activity Survey Brief and 2012 MH Community Support Program Employment Survey Summary. Coordinator of 3 statewide employment professional development groups and the recently formed DD Employment Consortium. Member of several state committees and advisory boards related to employment of people with disabilities including the BHDDH-DD Employment Action Team, Governor's Commission on Disabilities Employment Committee and a founding member of the RI Business Leadership Network.
