System Capacity Building Responsibilities

     Provided  Rhode Island Early Intervention (EI) system with professional development, national technical assistance resources, and policy development to impact and change the EI model of service delivery re: primary provider model; services in a natural environment; adult-learner-focused interventions; functional outcomes; and outcomes measurement.

Professional Development Responsibilities

     Designed and implemented training on: natural environments, functional assessments, IFSP development, early childhood transition practices, coaching adult learners, and facilitating meetings. Subsequent to a needs assessment process, designed and implemented training and technical assistance for all RI EI providers including Introduction to EI and EI 2.0. Developed and implemented state-wide training for all new EI providers to ensure compliance and effective performance. Developed and maintained infrastructure of a train-the-trainers model for professional development across the EI system.
