*November 1993-present:  Assistant Professor of Special Education at Rhode Island College and Coordinator of Assistive Technology for the Paul V. Sherlock Center.
Teach special education and assistive technology courses, supervise special education student teachers, coordinated assessment for ATAP (RI Tech Act Project) for 5 years, specialize in technology applications for persons with disabilities.

*February 1981-November 1993: Counselor for Access to Opportunity, a student support services program at the Community College of RI
Advising and counseling of students with disabilities

*September 1990-May 1993: Adjunct Instructor for the Dept. of Human Services ant the Community College of RI

       15 hours of professional development to become a certified evaluator and trainer for STAGES Alternate Assessment and Curriculum software.  Training provided by Madeline Pugliese, national assistive technology authority and developer of STAGES.

• Apple Teacher Institute, Lesley College, Cambridge, Mass., August 2-6, 2001.

       40 hours of professional development in technology integration, thematic unit design, assessment, and mentoring.

• Changing the Culture Mentor Training, University of Rhode Island, Kingston, RI, May, 2000.

 5 days of training to become a Disability Resource Mentor for the Rhode Island College community.  Currently one of 15 RI College mentors meeting as a cohort to improve the understanding of disability-related issues within the college.  Additional training as CTC Mentor Trainer taken during June 2002, as partner with Autumn Grant-Kimball, RI College Coordinator of Disability Services
