EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Trainer, Consultant and Teacher
• Offered training and technical assistance to individuals, not-for-profit organizations, businesses and families on issues from strategic planning to behavior management.
• Teach and assist in an average of 6 dog classes each week (puppy kindergarten, beginning obedience, canine good citizen, agility and rally-obedience).
• Developed curricula and taught classes to individuals and groups of various sizes (individuals, businesses, community colleges as well as co-instructing graduate-level courses at the University of Iowa and Morningside College).
• Organized and/or presented at over 100 national/state/local conferences and workshops.

Dog-Related Skills
• Teach and/or assist in several classes each week. Handling an average of 50-60 dogs and their owners each 6-week session.
• Assisted in the development and implementation of a project with the local animal shelter to train shelter dogs basic obedience.
• Live with Georgia (a young, energetic Russian Shrew Hound aka beautiful mix breed rescued from Georgia 8 years ago!)
• Loved and been involved with dogs and various other animals all my life.
