Vita/Bio
Joy Browne, MS, Ph.D., University of New Mexico; BSN, MS N, Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, Georgia; Diploma, RN, Georgia Baptist Hospital College of Nursing. Dr. Browne, Professor of Pediatrics, University of Colorado, School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics is director of the Center for Family and Infant Interaction, a component of JFK Partners, Colorado's UCEDD. Dr. Browne directs the Colorado NIDCAP Center and FIRST training programs, the Colorado Consortium of Intensive Care Nurseries, and the NICU Leadership group. Her area of expertise in neurobehavioral assessment and intervention with high risk infants and their families. Also, she consults on systems change toward developmentally supportive and family centered care. She conducts numerous training programs and consults regionally, national, and internationally.
