The Children's Hospital Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center (IDDRC) is led by Dr. Scott Pomeroy, Neurologist-in-Chief at Children's Hospital and two Associate Directors, Dr. Clifford Woolf, Director of the F. M. Kirby Neurobiology Program and Dr. Louis Kunkel, Director of the CHB Genomics Program. The Center has been in existence for more than 40 years and currently links over 70 investigators representing 15 departments and divisions from four adjacent institutions (Harvard Medical School, Children's Hospital, Brigham and Women's Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center). Research carried out by Center investigators falls into two major areas: Genetics and Neuroscience. Within the area of neuroscience, our research falls into two major programmatic categories: Basic Neuroscience and Clinical/Translational Neuroscience.
