Description
This project focuses on the importance of teaching patient-centered and effective communication in two areas. First, to individuals with disabilities in healthcare contexts, and second, to pre-med students who will work with individuals with disabilities. Two tenets of patient-centered communication, information exchange and enabling patient self-management, are the primary focus of adapting the university-level trainings for these individuals.Back to Session: Poster Symposium: Diversity Fellows
