Description
The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) requires a Local Education Agency (LEA) to provide parents of a child with a disability meaningful participation in the development of the child's Individualized Education Program (IEP). Schools must provide additional resources to ensure meaningful participation for parents with Limited English Proficiency (LEP). This poster will examine what is legally required from schools, at both the state and federal levels.Back to Session: Welcome Reception and Evening Poster Session
