Description

The self-advocacy movement in the US is a human rights movement of and by people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). It involves people with IDD working together to take charge of their lives, fight discrimination, and advocate for justice. The purpose of the presentation will be to educate others about the history, current landscape, and future directions for the self-advocacy movement.
