Description
The achievement of walking is the most frequently stated goal of families of young children with developmental disabilities. Intensive treadmill protocols have been shown to accelerate walking onset in this population, but access to pediatric treadmills is usually limited. A free community-based and family-supportive treadmill walking program was used successfully in children with developmental disabilities under the age of five years.Back to Session: Poster Symposium: Improving Physical, Mental and Emotional Health and Wellness for People with Disabilities
