Description
Safety is a critical concern for children challenged by autism. Many children with autism have difficulty identifying threats in the environment, lack sensitivity to pain, and have trouble communicating and/or attending to the concern of others. This presentation will review our clinic's efforts to teach safety skills using individualized, evidence-based safety skills to the children in our care.Back to Session: Poster Symposium: Improving Physical, Mental and Emotional Health and Wellness for People with Disabilities
