Description
This presentation will describe a research study that examined state-level variation in the relationship between age and cardiovascular risk among adult Special Olympics athletes. Findings indicate that there is significant variability in cardiovascular risk and in the relationship between age and cardiovascular risk by state, suggesting that possibilities exist for improving cardiovascular risk and longevity through advocacy and engagement efforts at the state- and national-level.Back to Session: Poster Symposium: Improving Physical, Mental and Emotional Health and Wellness for People with Disabilities
