Description
Children with autism are described as having high pain-tolerances. We evaluated how often children with autism displayed pain during everyday routines and how those expressions of pain related to problem behaviors. We will discuss how expressions varied among children with autism compared to children with other developmental disabilities and how these expressions varied depending on the form and severity of problem behaviors including self-injurious behavior, aggression, and property destruction.Back to Session: Welcome Reception and Poster Session
