Navigating Change by Identifying Needed Supports for Successful Community Living

Sunday, December 4, 2016 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Location: Congressional Hall A

Session Description

We are excited to again offer a series of free Driving Change Sessions on Sunday morning of the conference. This year we will talk about how to "Build Our Future Together" across the lifespan.

Participate in one of these five sessions and be a part of an interactive learning and sharing environment where you will hear from and share ideas with leaders from around the network on successes and best practices in these five key areas - Early Childhood, K-12, Transition, Community Living and Aging. These sessions are free for all registered conference attendees. See the below description of this session and its presenters.

Attend the "Community Living" session to hear from AUCD network leaders about the long term services and supports that people with disabilities need to live the life they want, where they want. Long term services and supports that will be discussed include reliable transportation, and affordable, safe housing. Recommendations for federal policies on community living for the new administration will also be discussed.
