Session Description
Hearing loss can affect a child's ability to develop communication, language, and social skills. The earlier children with hearing loss receive services, the more likely they are to reach their full potential.
Since 2009, the Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB) has provided funding and support to LEND programs to provide interdisciplinary training to enhance the clinical expertise and leadership skills of audiologists dedicated to caring for children with hearing loss. This session will explore opportunities for LEND programs to enhance collaborative efforts, share curriculum and address areas of mutual interest.
