Stephen M. R. Covey Speed of Trust, continued

Wednesday, November 3, 2010 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Location: Potomac Room V/VI

Session Description

An individualized workshop for people interested in learning more about applying the Speed of Trust to their organizations. All registered attendees will receive a copy of the Speed of Trust and an exclusive set of Trust Cards with their registration.

Stephen M. R. Covey asserts that:

"The ability to establish, grow, extend, and restore trust with all stakeholders-customers, business part¬ners, investors, and co-workers-is the key leadership competency of the new, global economy."

Covey's Speed of Trust
The Speed of Trust challenges our age-old assumption that trust is merely a soft, social virtue and instead demonstrates that trust is a hard-edged, economic driver - a learnable and measurable skill that makes organizations more profitable, people more promotable, and relationships more energizing. This fast-paced and engaging presentation dramatically reveals TRUST as the hidden variable that will become your most leverage-able tool, fueling your current strategic imperatives. We call it "Leading at the SPEED of TRUST."

Objectives

By framing Trust in a new light this presentation will:

  1. Make the business and economic case for trust
  2. Show how the ability to generate trust is the critical leadership competency in this new global economy
  3. Demonstrate how to master the skill of engendering trust- both personally and in your organization.

Accolades for Covey's The Speed of Trust

"TRUST is a shamefully elusive quality in business, leading organizations to make poor decisions, go to market more slowly, and waste time and effort in unproductive pursuits... Stephen M. R. Covey drove his message home as thought leader at our Annual Meeting & Exposition for the ASAE and the Center for Association Leadership-the secret of speed to market, loyalty, responsiveness, and a high-functioning-even remarkable-organization may be the most elementary (but all to often absent) component of effective human relationships: TRUST."

- Newton Holt, ASAE and the Center for Association Leadership,
AssociationNOW Feature on Trust, July 2007

"Thank you for sharing the powerful message on The Speed of Trust. We have received rave reviews on your presentation and truly appreciate the time you put into getting to know our guests and supporters. Your presence at this event was invaluable, and we are so grateful for your words of truth on leadership and ethics."

- Michelle Gonzalez, Director, Easter Seals of Florida
