The Empowered Fe Fes (slang for ?female?) educate themselves from many angles by talking with activists, educators and scholars, challenging the notion that people with disabilities are not fully sexual human beings.

Lois and Elaine?s dream to live free of institutional control was realized through their self-advocacy and collaboration that soon achieved national recognition when the Supreme Court agreed that they had experienced ?unjustified isolation.? The resulting ?Olmstead Decision? allowed Lois and Elaine to rediscover community living.

Sujeet Desai, Musician, MuscianSujeet Desai is an accomplished musician born with Down syndrome. Sujeet plays six instruments. He graduated from high school with honors and in 2003 he finished his post-secondary study from Berkshire Hills Music Academy, Masschusetts. Sujeet travels around the world to perform and hold self-advocacy workshops. Sujeet's mission is to send this message: given opportunities individuals with disabilities can ?Make It Happen!?
