News: FCC Chairman Wheeler to Speak at AUCD 2015 Conference

This year we celebrated the 25th anniversary of the ADA, landmark legislation that paved the way for people with disabilities to fully participate in employment, transportation, telecommunications, recreation and many other facets of life. Yet today 70% of people with disabilities still remain outside the labor force. In 2010, the federal government enacted a policy to hire, train and promote more people with disabilities within its workforce.

During this Tuesday morning session, hear from the Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission about his efforts to enforce the ADA and the 21st Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act, his personal experience as a parent of a young adult with an intellectual disability, and future initiatives at the FCC to increase access for all.
