The AUCD Young Professional Award is presented to a person in the field of disabilities under the age of 40 who has demonstrated dedication and commitment to people with developmental disabilities and their families through work as a bridge between the academic sector and the community.

“Still early in her career, Jessica has demonstrated leadership in the field of disabilities through her scholarly achievements, research, and work on policy issues which serve as a bridge between the academic sector and the community. Jessica’s work supports inclusion of Service members and veterans with disabilities, and most recently is focusing on behavioral health research will have a profound effect on the lives of people with disabilities and their families. She is an emerging leader who has combined her interest in disability policy with her research and evaluation skills to inform policies and practices, which have a significant impact on individuals with disabilities and their families.”
